Easy as anything, just make sure the axle stands are on firm stable ground and then go crazy :). Spend a good amount of time prepping them too, wire brush to get any rust off, sand paper to smooth it down and then white spirits to clean the surface before paint.

cheers will! my problem is i don't have any axle stands or a jack, may try and find a derby lad on here to give me a hand, problem is i'm new so dont know many people yet haha

Get a jack and stands from halfords, easy job just use hammerite
